If you had PS3 Blu-Ray problems, what (if anything) did Sony do for you? Maybe your situation is less technical and more about bad customer service?

Interesting article about PS3 owners outraged over Sony's recent firmware update - the OtherOS feature removal, in particular. According to Sony, this was necessary to "ensure that PS3 owners will continue to have access to the broad range of gaming and entertainment content from SCE and its content partners on a more secure system." Buuuut there are others who think this has more to do with Geohot's hacking of the PS3 a few months ago. What do you think? Does the "why" even matter? For some people, the problem boils down to the fact that they paid hundreds of dollars for a product, only to have a significant feature taken away from them. For those who are bugged by this, Geohot blogs that all hope is not lost.
