Gardening = Felony Criminal Mischief?
Sandra McFeeley went from "volunteer" to "felon" in a matter of months. The 67-year-old attorney was arrested for her apparently "felonious" past time of pruning briars and dead vegetation from a city park near her Oak Cliff home. According to a blog post in the Dallas Morning News, "She helps her Wynnewood North Neighborhood Association with cleanups and was honored for her work last fall." But not everyone appreciates her work - clearly!
Rules are rules, this is true. If McFeeley did, in fact, break the law - that's one thing. No one is arguing that laws should not be enforced. But did she really have to be arrested for it?
It would be interesting to hear from the neighbors who are against Sandra McFeeley's efforts. Click here to read the rest of the aforementioned blog post.
