Mobile Mechanic
Mobile Mechanic
My husband and I own a Dodge Stratus. We had the mechanic come to our house and fix the oil pan and head gasket. He informed us that we needed a new computer. We signed a contract that he would purchase and replace the computer. We gave him the money and since then he has given us the run around. He doenst return phone calls and gives sad stories that he cannot make it, his wife left him and so on. He says everyday that he will be here at this and that time but never shows up. He has begged us not to go to the cops and get him in trouble but I have no other option because he doesnt call back and it has been a month since he has taken the money. Today we went to his place of business with the cops and will return later on this night with the police for the money that is owed. He will take your money I am filing a complaint with the BBB to have his licensed removed. This is not the way you conduct business.

people never cease to amaze me. you look for thr best price then you complain of bad work parts or ripoffs. people ask me almost every day to go to there house to fix someting for half or less the price. you want me with 35 years exsp to go to your house with no lift no compressed air no workbench bring 75000 in tools work in a driveway or yard, crawl on the ground ,in the heat cold or rain to fix your car or boat better than the dealer for less!!!! ask your accountant to come to your backyard and work on a peice of plywood in the heat rain or cold and do it for less ((((GET THE PICTURE )))))) LOOK IN THE BOX KEY WORD IN
He is on Dope !!!!! He Has a Drug habit !!!
The moment anyone in this type of situation begs you not to call the cops is the best time to call them (police normally take a keen interest in these sorts of matters).
Getting the police involved was the right thing to do, because now you have a record of your complaint. Make sure you keep copies of all reports from all authorities because it could be helpful should this matter get escalated to court.
Getting your money back is a reasonable thing to request. Getting his license revoked may be more difficult and time consuming, and then it may not stop him from continuing to do the same work anyway.
