Description:

Ok so ever since we moved into our new home, we've been having issues with our neighbor.
On the first day of the Move, every neighbor welcomed us with fruitcake, cards..etc but he welcomed us with a list of things we had to do to the home to "enhance the beauty of the neighborhood".This man is around 60? and his sole purpose is to ruin my family's happiness. We cant even have a birthday party outside with out him having to call the police. Recently my kids started up a little band which i think is such a better use of their time then to be doing illegal things in the streets. Don't you think? Well this bothers my neighbor. Out of respect i asked the kids to close the garage to contain most of the noise.Around 1pm the police show up at my home asking to wrap everything up and STOP playing because it bothers the neighbor , and disturbs the peace. I need to know WHAT I CAN DO because this isnt the first time the police show up because of him, and its not just us its everyone on the street. I MUST have rights as the home owner and i need someones help....

Make him some "Viagra" brownies and he will be SO preoccupied with THAT problem that he won't have time to bother you for at least 4 hours!!

Is he living alone with no wife or female companion to keep him occupied in and out of the neighborhood. he might just be a grumpy old fart who is jealous of the social activities around him that he cannot enjoy because no one whether family or friends visit him.

In other words; what I am saying in the comment below is introduce him to a female to keep him occupied and that will reduce the amount of time he focuses on your family. if he doesn't have one - get him one & if he has one - get him a better one to keep him ccupied.

First of all, if he retires he will be home ALL the time and will have more time to find things you are doing that bother him. But, also consider that he has lived there longer than you and enjoyed his house and neighborhood. Lots of people like a quiet neighborhood and your family has disturbed that. Why not ask him to help you make some of those improvements to your house!

Before you go accusing your neighbor of being a pain, take a look at yourself. I used to have a neighbor who had parties in his yard that would last all day, with lots of really loud music, yelling and screaming, and people running out into the streets. Are your birthday parties lasting only a couple of hours and are fairly quiet, or are they really loud?

As for the kids band, they may be violating noise ordinances in your town. Even if they're not, loud music can be annoying, especially if its from kids who don't play very well. And if they have their instruments plugged into amplifiers, it's that much worse.

Maybe you should make your kids unplug their amps or sound proof your garage. If you don't think the music is loud, let them practice indoors. Next time you have a party, try to keep the noise down a bit, or bring it inside. Or why don't you invite your neighbor? He probably won't come, but if you make an effort to be nice to him, maybe he'll settle down.

First of all, my kids have been playing for over 7 years.. so im sure their not making "noise"
and the birthday partys cant last the whole day if they are for a 2 year old.
If your not going to help in anyway thanks your effort was appreciated
