To me it's fine, if the children don't eat because why should we pay for the food of lazy people that love to breed, but hate to work; so they can pay for the food.

There are many types of people that we can blame for our Countries Multi-Trillion Dollar Deficit/Debt. These so-called politicians that you speak of that drink the fine wines ARE part to blame. There are two main reasons why MOST politicians do nothing or put anything in place to help clear some of our huge dept. ONE-Most of these politicians grew up in gated or nice communities, never seeing first hand what ignorant, lazy, low class people. TWO-None of them including our own Presidents bury their heads in the sand, help to feed other countries that continue to over populate and fight other countries wars that cost us Billions and American Blood. Three-No President or Presidential candidate will ever promise to Stop welfare and ignorance. Bush did try by creating the NO WELFARE AFTER FIVE YEARS, but did not follow through. Ask yourselves this-What is one of the MAIN reasons that helped to create this huge dept? OVER POPULATION, resulting in fewer jobs for people, the need to create housing. How does any Countyry including our own stop over population? Education is one way even if it is forced education. If you make or force a young person to get the proper education in all cadegories of job skills, morals, etc. For example, if a child is brought up in a home filled with ignorance, one parent, bad parenting, hatred and no morals you will in turn recieve a young person or adult that most likely will repeat everything that they were taught and not taught. I am an older man, owned several different successful businesses and have delt with all types of people and races of people. One of the things that I see constantly is the huge number of kids having kids. It is true that more white people have more abortions, but why? ONE-Most white people do not want a kid to get in the way of their carriers. TWO-There are a hell of alot more white people than blacks. THREE-Shame. On the other hand, most blacks do not get abortions,why?-Most blacks don't have or will spend the money for an abortion. TWO-Most blacks do not have carriers to think about. THREE-Most blacks are not ashamed and do not get embarrassed. FOUR-Many blacks follow their piers/parents/friends/associates and use the child to get more government assis. Sad to say that it is going to take a very strong willed politician or governing body to put things in place to reduce all of the ignorance and over population. We could start with our own government offering rewards to anyone that would turn anyone in that is known to abuse or is abusing the system. The reward will be funded by the moneies that is saved from over pays in welfare, foodstamps, etc. It really is true that more whites recieve welfare BUT there are alot more white people too and of the 13% of the black population in america 11% of them are getting some type of government assis ranging fron welfare, foodstamps, ssi, housing, loans, extended education, etc. Is it americas fault that most black kids are raised by one parent, their mother, aunt or grandparent-NO. Who's fault is it? Their parents fault, themselves and their own kind. America sends them to school to get an education. Many drop out for what reasons? Bad parenting, lazy and ignorant parents, gangs, crime and the fact that most want to blame someone or the blame the system or think that they will become successful big time drug dealers, athletes or rap artists. Most of those end up dead, in jail, living on the streets, in the system and part of the problem. Did you know that some City's and States put the many of the hispanic and mexican stats with the whites causing the numbers and percentages to increase. For example, if you recieve a citation (speeding ticket) there is a box on the ticket for the officer to write whether the person is black or white, not box for mexican or other. Sop in reality when hispanics.mexicans in some City's and States recieve citations for no insurance, etc it automatically pushes those results upon the whites making their percentages rise. I could go on and on, but do not have the time. Am I a racist?NOOOOOO, I just tell it like I see it and what I have learned over the years. THE TRUTH really does HURT, FACTS are FACTS. I made $1,000 a week and paid $400 of that in taxes, when you make $1,000,000 a week, do you pay $400,000 in taxes? no, but you damn well should. You probly dont want thier tax cuts to expire, even though you could add up the income of everyone you know and still not be affected, because some jerk told you you should be angry about that. Others do go to school, but sometimes honest efforts aren't enough. Not everyone robs for a thrill or to hurt others, some just do to eat. Don't fall into the phony R. Reagan fabrication that the bulk of people on public assistance are " welfare queens and lazy people. That's just false. The only truly lazy people are the ones that repeat and believe rhetorical claims like these without doing any homework.

Do you realize that most government assistance programs require something called "certification", as in weekly proof (the govt follows up on), that you have contacted potential employers looking for work while receiving the government checks?

Did you know that the average payout for unemployment is around $214 per week, while the average rent is around $800 per month? Yet the typical 2 parent family has 2 kids.

Did you know that in most places to collect food stamps, you are required to have at least a 20 hour per week job?

In my home town, I know a guy who is in his 50s and has been looking for a job that pays more than $9 per hour for about 7 years just because he was convicted of a minor crime in his youth.

Perhaps, you've been fortunate to avoid some of these kinds of problems. Not everyone is so lucky. True, there are people who are up to no good, but they are A LOT rarer than you think. I would love to pay higher taxes, and overlook "welfare queens" if it means someone is less likely to break into my place, and rob me for everything I own just to feed their kids.

I agree. Im also independent Im a black woman and I made mistakes I have a child and I get public ass. but I go to school and Ill have my degree soon so why can't others do it.I look at my neighbors and family and they sit around and do nothing they just collect money. But Im glad they taxed cigarettes really high.
