I think it really sucks that we the people of texas have to be not fined just once but fined numerous times for not having car insurance i feel its truely important to have and maintain auto insurance 1st and fore most but if you pay a fine that should be it done and over with so rise up and let true freedom ring and demand this law be changed before we are all driving without license because are fine state takes them with double jeopardy!!!

The mandatory insurance laws for privately owned vehicles likely violates Constitutional statutes, but has not been changed because there has not been a credible legal challenge made of it. I think Texans should band together and file a class action suit over it.
